Product Overview

Bactofos Plus is a broad-spectrum, water-soluble antibacterial formulation containing Fosfomycin and Tylosin, supplemented with an energized electrolyte carrier complex. Designed for herd and flock administration via drinking water, it provides synergized antibacterial coverage against Gram-positive, Gram-negative, and Mycoplasma pathogens affecting poultry and swine.

• Fosfomycin Calcium: 20 g

• Tylosin Tartrate: 5 g

• Electrolytes & Fructose Carrier Complex: Q.S. to 100 g

Indications

• Poultry (Broilers, Layers, Breeders):

  • Treatment of Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD) and Mycoplasmosis (Mycoplasma gallisepticum, M. synoviae).

  • Treatment of Colibacillosis (E. coli), Infectious Coryza (Avibacterium paragallinarum), Fowl Cholera (Pasteurella multocida), and Fowl Typhoid (Salmonella gallinarum).

  • Control of secondary bacterial infections following viral challenge or environmental stress.

• Swine:

  • Treatment of swine respiratory disease complex (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae).

  • Treatment of enteric bacterial infections, including porcine proliferative enteropathy (Lawsonia) and colibacillosis.

Dosing & Administration

Route of Administration: Administer orally dissolved in clean drinking water for 3 to 5 consecutive days, or as directed by a attending veterinarian.

• Small-Scale / Water Volume Calculation:

  • Mix 1 g per 1 Liter of drinking water (or 1 heaped teaspoon per 5 Liters of water).

• Commercial Operations (Live Mass Calculation):

  • Administer at a target dosage rate of 160 mg per kg of live body mass daily, mixed into the daily calculated water consumption.

• Preparation: Prepare fresh medicated water daily. Ensure medicated water is the sole source of drinking water during the treatment duration.

Precautions & Withdrawal Periods

• Withdrawal Period: Follow local statutory slaughter and egg consumption withdrawal guidelines prior to slaughter or marketing of food products.

• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to macrolides (Tylosin) or Fosfomycin.

• Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Keep container tightly sealed when not in use to protect against moisture absorption.

• Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons, and non-target animals.
