Engemycin 10% Injectable Solution – Broad-Spectrum Oxytetracycline Antibiotic for Livestock

Engemycin 10% is a sterile injectable solution containing oxytetracycline hydrochloride at 100 mg/mL, a broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections in a wide range of animals including cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses.

Formulated for deep tissue penetration, Engemycin 10% is highly effective against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, rickettsiae, and some mycoplasmas. It’s commonly used to treat conditions like pneumonia, mastitis, foot rot, navel ill, enteritis, and tick-borne diseases such as heartwater and anaplasmosis.

🩺 Indications:

• Pneumonia and respiratory tract infections

• Mastitis and metritis

• Foot rot and wound infections

• Navel ill / Joint ill in young animals

• Enteritis and diarrhea caused by bacterial infection

• Tick-borne diseases: Heartwater, Anaplasmosis

💉 Dosage & Administration:

• Standard dose: 1 mL per 10 kg body weight (equivalent to 10 mg/kg)

• Routes: Intramuscular (IM), Subcutaneous (SC), or slow Intravenous (IV)

• Note: Divide large doses across multiple injection sites

⚠️ Withholding Times:

• Meat: 14 days

• Milk: 60 hours

⚠️ Storage & Warnings:

• Store below 25°C, protected from light

• Do not freeze

• Use with caution in animals with kidney impairment

• Administer IV slowly to prevent shock

• Do not use in animals with known tetracycline sensitivity
